Children of all ages and their favorite teddy bear or plush animal are invited to attend this special clinic. Bring your plush friend for a checkup at the zoo! Medical staff from St. Joseph’s Health, along with zoo volunteers, will give your favorite plush animal a full exam and offer any needed “first aid.” Treat yourself and your plush pal to fun giveaways. This fun event also educates kids about health care!

Story Walk at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo Syracuse

11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Enjoy guided tours of the new StoryWalk at the zoo featuring the beloved children’s book “Good Night, Gorilla” by Peggy Rathman. Follow the pages through the zoo ending with our siamang apes, who happen to resemble their cousin, the gorilla in the book. Then learn about siamangs – and zookeepers! – at a special keeper chat. Free early-reading book for the first 200 children!
