More than a dozen gigantic animatronic dinosaurs have invaded the Rosamond Gifford Zoo for the summer, transforming the Wildlife Trail and other outdoor areas into a dinosaur theme park of prehistoric proportions.
Friends of the Zoo presents “Dinosaur Invasion: 101 Days of Dinosaurs” from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day with many exciting educational events in between. The “invaders” include a water-spitting Dilophosaurus, enormous Tyrannosaurus Rex, armored dinosaur Edmontonia and two adult Parasaurolophus with a nest and babies, among other Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous creatures.
Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, established in 1970, is proud of its relationship with Onondaga County and the wider community and of its longstanding history of providing a world-class zoo to visitors from Central New York and beyond.
Friends of the Zoo is a non-profit organization and dedicated partner of the
Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The Friends organization provides financial support through funds dedicated to the welfare of the zoo's animals, educational programs and family-friendly facilities.
